The Senior People Business Partner is a key leadership role within the People Services team, responsible for guiding a small team and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Reporting to the General Manager – People Services, this role is critical in driving strategic people initiatives, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and supporting the RFDS leaders to build strong, high-performing teams.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Leading and coaching a team of People professionals
- Partnering with executives and senior leaders to deliver people strategies
- Providing expert advice on HR/IR matters including grievance resolution, performance management, and EA interpretation
- Supporting change management, organisational realignments, and key HR projects
- Driving continuous improvement in people processes and HR systems, including the soon to be implemented HRIS, Dayforce
You’re a seasoned HR professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about creating workplaces where people feel valued, supported and empowered.
You’ll bring:
- 7–10 years of experience in senior HR roles, with a strong generalist background
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or similar
- Proven business partnering experience managing HR teams and guiding organisational strategy
- Solid knowledge of employee relations, and contemporary HR practices
- Exceptional stakeholder management, coaching, and communication skills
- Confidence navigating complex issues and change initiatives
- Experience in highly regulated industries (healthcare, aviation, or NFP sectors) is desirable
