Reporting to the Senior People Business Partner, the People Advisor is a trusted member of the People Services team. In this role, you'll provide frontline HR support to managers and staff across RFDS Queensland, helping to ensure people practices are embedded and aligned with business goals.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR generalist looking to deepen their exposure across a broad range of HR functions and initiatives.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Providing timely and practical HR advice to managers on employee relations, performance, and policy matters
- Supporting the implementation of people-related initiatives, projects, and change processes across the business
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of HR documentation such as policies, guides, and templates
- Ensuring compliance with applicable awards, legislation, and internal procedures
- Contributing to HR process improvement and the ongoing enhancement of employee experience
- Managing employee lifecycle tasks including onboarding and offboarding
- Maintaining accurate HRIS records and supporting the introduction of Dayforce across the organisation
You’re a confident and capable HR generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You're solutions-focused, proactive, and enjoy working closely with leaders to support great people outcomes.
You’ll bring:
- 3–5 years of HR experience in a generalist role
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or similar
- Sound knowledge of the Australian employment landscape and applicable legislation
- Experience interpreting and applying awards, EA provisions, and policies
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence across a diverse workforce
- Confidence working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- A proactive mindset, with great organisational and time management skills
